Byzantine Relics Tour

Hippodrome, the center of sport activites in Constantinople and capital of the Byzantine empire, is known today as Sultanahmet Meydani and has four main monuments: The German Fountain of Wilhelm II, Egyptian Obelisk, Serpentine Column (Spiral Column).

Blue Mosque, also known as Sultanahmet Mosque, was built by the architect Mimar Sedefkar Mehmet Aga. Until the 19th century, it was the traditional point for the pilgrimage to Mecca. Note that on Fridays visits are not allowed because of prayers.

Hagia Sophia Museum, the most known Christian church in Turkey and one of the greatest marvels of architecture, was constructed as a basilica in the 6th century by Emperor Justinian. Note that St.Sophia is closed on Monday.

Grand Covered Bazaar, the most attractive shopping centre in the world, has nearly 4000 shops, selling antiques, jewelries, gold, carpets, leather wear and souvenirs. Note that Grand Bazaar is closed on Sunday.
